Sam's Flying Pig Baked Beans!
Here is the recipe for a DELICIOUS twist on baked beans using our Hines Brines Flying Pig Dry Rub.
1 or 2 bags of White Beans/Navy Beans
2/3 cup Molasses
2 cups Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 Yellow Onion (chopped)
1 Tbs. Yellow Mustard
1/2 cup Diced Ham or Chopped Cooked Bacon
1 1/2 cup of Water
-Soak beans overnight in water. Make sure that the beans are covered.
-Preheat oven to 300 degrees
-Boil the beans in unsalted water for 45 minutes.
-Strain off all of the water and then pour the beans into a deep baking pan.
-In a medium bowl, mix molasses, dark brown sugar, chopped yellow onion, yellow mustard, diced ham or chopped cooked bacon, Hines Brines Flying Pig Dry Rub, and water.
-Pour mixture over beans and gently stir to ensure beans are covered.
-Cover the beans with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Uncover beans and cook for another 20 minutes and serve.
